This series is a personal interpretation of natural elements in the forest environment. Early works in this series are based upon realistic plant forms created from observational drawings. Later painting compositions reflect an evolution that delves more deeply into the realm of abstraction and simplistic marks and shapes suggesting silhouette-like versions of the early works. Natural consequences resulting from a continual progression over time include changes in paint applications, rich surface texture  as well as shifts in compositional focus.
