Nature and the space that it occupies is my canvas. I focus on elements of the earth as my source for inspiration and consistently reach out to new terrain to bring the unexpected into my compositions. I paint on canvas in traditional as well as shaped painting formats to create visual statements that often redefine the landscape concept. To this end, my work explores the loose and disordered as well as the organized, geometric and repeated. I revel in an intimacy between color, texture, shape and subject that, together, become the dominant narrative of my work.
