It is important to me to be innovative. My approach to each painting is dependent on my desires to explore and work freely as each painting evolves. I enjoy working spontaneously while allowing each stage or layer of a painting to suggest what comes next. In an attempt to keep my subject matter fresh, I embrace change and set no limits by confining myself to one medium. Alternative materials occasionally allow me to enhance significant details and/or pinpoint expressions of emotion, mood, form, color, texture and light while elements based on nature are painted as my own.
