I believe in the creative process so it is important to me to be innovative and to push boundaries. My approach to each painting is dependent on my desires to explore and work freely as each painting evolves. I enjoy working spontaneously while allowing each stage or layer of a painting to suggest what comes next. In an attempt to keep my subject matter fresh, I embrace change and set no limits by confining myself to one medium. Alternative materials occasionally allow me to enhance significant details and/or pinpoint expressions of emotion, mood, form, color, texture, and light while elements based on nature are painted as my own.
